PRECIOUS METALS

Sparked my curiosity.

Silver and Gold are traditionally known as precious metals. They are soft and easy to craft with, and do not oxidize like iron and copper. Bronze was used before gold/silver, but with bronze being common, it wasn’t seen as anything spectacular.

Because they’re expensive (jewelry is a way to show off your wealth) and because, being noble metals, they don’t corrode easily, which also makes them less likely to trigger allergies. Lastly, they’re relatively easy to work into fine shapes.

jewelry is made out of all kind of metals.it just depends what kind of the jewelry is .
If the jewelry is precious and high value, it is usually made out of platinum, gold and silver.
although platinum is expensive than gold, it is too soft and unsuitable to set precious stones, like sapphire and diamonds, fine gold is not usually used in setting stones too, it is more common to see 18k,14k,9k gold in yellow/white/pink,etc.
