WOW…good question. I really have no idea. It seems like I remember reading something about copper being used in very early plates during the experimental stage of photography in the early to mid-1800s. But I have no idea.
You should try posting this question on APUG. Most people here won’t have the slightest idea what you’re talking about. But hey, you never know…I was surprised when someone did answer your question about daguerreotypes.
I noticed that your other question didn’t get any replies. That’s kind of like what happened when I asked if anyone had tried the new Kodak Ektar film. I think I got a grand total of 2 replies. Hey, we’re just asking the wrong questions! We should be asking "how do you make a black and white picture with one thing in color?" Or "how do u photoshop blurry pics?" Then I’m sure we would be getting tons of replies!
Maybe I’ll just ask if I’m pretty? lol

Well, typically the grains are formed by reacting a sodium or potassium salt(usually potassium) with silver nitrate.
So, with that in mind, potassium is used in the production of film, although it’s not strictly used in image making.
Offhand, I can’t think of any other metals that are used.

copper was used as both a medium (a plate) and as part of a light sensitive solution (as copper sulphate mixed with silver nitrate).
